Biography
Jarrett Laabs is an accomplished Explorer, Photographer, Writer and Creative Director. Traveling to remote places around the world, Jarrett works to capture images that tell simple stories and inspire humans to consider their relationship with nature, while promoting the preservation of wild places everywhere. Layered by outdoor, travel, adventure, surf, wildlife and lifestyle subjects, Jarrett is known for images that are punctuated by untamed, powerful landscapes. One thing that separates Jarrett's work is that he never uses Photoshop or multiple exposure in the creation of his photos. Everything you see in the picture is all captured in a single frame with only slight contrast and color enhancement. Another thing that separates his work is that 99% of his shots with people in them are candid (The subjects don't know he is taking the photo and there is no photographer/subject interaction.). Jarrett strives to share his vision of beautiful places, and to inspire people to explore for themselves. Jarrett is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, but his office is the World. He is currently in the Philippines and other parts of Southeast Asia exploring and capturing all the natural beauty and wonder that part of the World has to offer.
